A Solatube® is the natural way to bring daylight into those dark and windowless areas of your home. No other system will deliver as much natural light as a Solatube® – and we guarantee that – so when you’re choosing a tubular skylight make sure you choose the brightest!
The Dome
Only Solatube® uses Fresnel lenses in the dome to refract light into the top of the tube, actively harvesting daylight into the system. We also employ a simple reflector system, LightTrackerTM, to redirect light that hits the dome from lower angles. In real terms, this could mean as much as twice as much light entering the top of the tube than on any other system.
The Tube
Spectralight® Infinity, the most reflective tubing on the market. At 99.7% reflectivity, no other system will deliver as much light. And even though some competitor systems boast figures of up to 98%, in a typical installation, this could mean that 30% of the original light volume is lost, compared to around 6% in a Solatube®. Flexible-duct systems would be delivering around 10% of original light.
The Diffuser
With a choice of four diffuser styles, you’re guaranteed to find a design to complement your home. Solatube® diffusers not only distribute the light evenly around the room, they are double-glazed to ensure that they don’t heat the room up in summer or let heat out in the winter. They’re also UV shielded to help prevent fading of you carpet and furnishings.

The compact Solatube 160DS is ideal for bathrooms, utility rooms, hallways and en-suite bathrooms for areas up to 9m2. The larger Solatube 290DS will illuminate bigger rooms such as kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms, large stairwells and bedrooms for areas up to 22m2. For larger rooms or long narrow corridors, Solatube can be used in multiples for a unique lighting effect.
